GulfNet Solutions, a leading provider of innovative e-business solutions and services, announced today that it has been appointed as a distributor for Autonomy Corporation, a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise. Under this agreement, GulfNet Solutions will provide Autonomy software solutions to clients in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait and Egypt.

"Our customers are always looking for solutions to effectively and efficiently manage their data",said Mudar Bseiso, general manager, GulfNet Solutions. "Managing data is not easy and most of the time it is a manual process which means there is a cost associated. After extensive research, we found that Autonomy software solutions addressed all obstacles involved in information management by automating data management and categorization, reducing costs and helping clients to focus on the business process rather than organizing data."

"Autonomy is pleased to enter into this agreement with GulfNet Solutions", said Vatche Kalaidjian, Autonomy's Director of Business Development. "Our partnership will enable Autonomy to deliver its unique, scalable and secure infrastructure to industry sectors such as Oil and Gas, Government, Financial, Media and Manufacturing across the Middle East. Because Autonomy's technology is also language independent, it enables organizations to automate information operations on text, voice and video in the many different languages that global companies do business in today, not least Arabic".

Autonomy's unique Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL) integrates unstructured, semi-structured and structured information from multiple repositories through an understanding of their content. Autonomy grants enterprises the flexibility to use advanced information retrieval or legacy-based approaches. At the heart of Autonomy's software is its ability to process text, voice and video and identify and rank the main concepts within them. It then automatically categorizes, links, summarizes, personalizes and delivers that information. Autonomy's technology also drives collaboration across the enterprise and enables organizations to effectively leverage expertise. Autonomy's infrastructure technology is used to automate operations within enterprise information portals, customer relationship management, knowledge management, business intelligence and e-business applications, among others.
